Proverbs 1:20-21

12-18-20

Proverbs1:20-21(nheb) Wisdom (God) calls aloud in the street. She utters her voice in the public squares. She calls at the head of noisy places. At the entrance of the city gates, she utters her words:

God is calling to everyone. (1 tim 2:4, titus 2:11, ps 19:1, 49:1-3). If they listen they can be saved (Eze 18:23, 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Tim 2:4).
So, all humans are given the choice to hear or not to hear.
Wisdom also calls to the “simple” and the “fools,” and, like everyone else, they too have to choose between her (wisdom’s) voice and that of the world.
He that hath ears to hear, let him hear (Matt 11:15) is a proverbial expression, implying that the highest attention should be given to that which was spoken. (Barnes commentary)
Because wisdom is so readily available, humans who choose not to hear will have no excuse when they stand before Jesus for judgement (rom 1:20, John 25:22)! 😟

God bless you today 🤗
