1 John 2:15

1John 2:15 (isv) Stop loving the world and the things that are in the world. If anyone persists in loving the world, the Father’s love is not in him.
This world has nothing to offer God’s children (Matt 16:26).
in fact, the phrase “the world” is used metaphorically to refer to evil. the Biblical definition of “the world” is “the ungodly multitude; the whole mass of men alienated from God, and therefore hostile to the cause of Christ, world affairs, the aggregate of things earthly, the whole circle of earthly goods, endowments, riches, advantages, pleasures, etc, which although hollow and frail and fleeting, stir desire, seduce from God and are obstacles to the cause of Christ”.
this is why we are not to be part of this world (Matt 6:24, Rom 12:2, James 4:4, 1 John 5:4-5, 1 John 2:15-16, Eph 5:11, 1 Thess 5:5).
Instead we are to be God’s light, we are to shine His truth in this dark world (Phil 2:15, Pro 4:18).
You never know, someone just may choose to seek God’s truth because of something you said or did (Math 5:16). 😎

God bless you today 🤗
