Psalm 34:11

10-20-20

Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD. Psalm 34:11 (isv)

What is the “fear” of the Lord?
With respect to the spiritual, “fear” in the Greek (G5399) is – to reverence, venerate, to treat with deference or reverential obedience.
God wants us to worship only Him (Joshua 24:15, 1 Kings 18:21, Matt 22:37, Luke 4:8).
We are to trust God completely (Pro 3:5, Psalm 62:8) and not put our trust in a human (Psalm 118:8-9, Jer 17:5, 17:7).
Godly fear is one of a deep and abiding respect that grows as we learn—from within a continuing, intimate relationship—of His character, His purpose, and His powers: (John W. Ritenbaugh, “The Berean”, 10-12-20).

So, keep trusting God no matter what the situation. 😊

God bless you today 🤗
